Maintenance of Certification
Did you know that HQI has been approved as an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Portfolio Program Sponsor?
Practicing physicians in CHA/HQI hospitals have the benefit of receiving Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part IV credit from participating ABMS certifying boards for the work they are doing in partnership with our hospitals to improve quality and patient safety.
If you are a member of a hospital-based team working on improvements in any of the following areas, your meaningful participation in that work qualifies for MOC Part IV credit:
- Medication safety
- Prevention of hospital acquired infections
- Prevention of harm in hospitals such as falls, pressure injuries, venous thromboembolism, or ventilator associated events
- Prevention of avoidable readmissions
- Prevention of sepsis mortality
To receive MOC Part IV credit, please complete and sign the Physician Attestation Statement to document meaningful participation in hospital quality improvement projects that has been completed since March 2018. HQI will submit your information directly to the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) to process your certification credit, AT NO CHARGE TO PHYSICIANS.
For more information about this benefit and requirements for credit, please contact HQI Clinical Improvement Education at education@HQInstitute.org.
